Milling Machine Work
Milling machines are very versatile. They are usually used to machine flat surfaces, but can also produce irregular surfaces. They can also be used to drill, bore, cut gears, and produce slots.
The type of milling machine most commonly found is a vertical spindle machine with a swiveling head, which is what we use here at Bicknell Engineering. We can also use themill for different types Reaming, where you need a different inside diameter form one end of the work to the other.
This is something we carry out to make our flow tubes for BOC/LINDE, to test their medical Oxygen bottles, checking that the flow is correct before shipping out to their customers.
